Brickwork repairs
Most of the walls we get asked about don’t need rebuilding. They need the six bricks that have failed replacing, and the reason they failed sorting out.
What we repair
- Cracked, blown or spalled brickwork.
- Failed lintels and sills.
- Individual bricks replaced in a wall that’s otherwise sound.
- Cracks stitched where movement has opened a wall up.
- Storm and vehicle damage.
We look for the cause first
A blown brick is usually a symptom rather than the problem. Water getting into the wall and freezing is the usual cause, and replacing the brick without dealing with that just resets the clock. So before we quote to replace anything, we look at the pointing, the copings, the gutters and the top of the wall.
